
About the SSC MTS exam
The Staff
Selection Commission holds an assessment exam for enrolment of Multi Tasking
Staff(MTS) in PayBand-1(Rs5200-20200) + Grade PayRs1800,(Revised PayScale
after7thCPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix–Level-1),a General Central Service Group
'C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in different
Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India, in various
States/Union Territories.
Eligibility for SSC MTS exam
Nationality/Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of
Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African
countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly
Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the
intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit for SSC MTS
The age limit prescribed for the SSC MTS posts are:
18-25 years as on 1st August (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2001).

Educational qualification for SSC MTS posts
- The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination(10th) or equivalent from a recognized Board to apply for the different posts under SSC MTS exam.
- All degrees/ diplomas or certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities approved by UGC are also recognized for the purpose of employment through SSC MTS exam.
Application Fee for SSC MTS
- Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
- Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
